Welcome to the January 2004 issue of The Traveler! Welcome to our first issue of 2004! We're just now back from a trip to the zany and colorful Las Vegas strip, where The Traveler gave a short talk to fifty or so fresh-faced, budding travel writers. This always makes everyone at The Traveler excited and grateful about the opportunity of presenting new travel writers every month. Our feature article contributors are all new to The Traveler with this issue and they take us continent-hoping from North America to Africa and finally down under to New Zealand. Welcome to our new writers! Now is a great time to think of new travel adventures in the coming year. Look in our resources section for a few ideas for fun and adventure in 2004. And of course there is our travel writing Pick-of-the-Month. This book was suggested by a reader of The Traveler and we're glad he did! A great read. You can recommend a book too by sending us your suggestion at recommend-a-book@touristtravel.com. Enjoy! You are receiving this message because we have received a subscribe request. humorous, entertaining, and informative. "The
Shoes of Kilimanjaro" is a collection of "odd-ventures"
experienced by the author. Cameron Burn's view of
the world is just quirky enough to suggest to us that
humor can be found in the most unlikely places. It
can see us through our most vexing situations as we
make our way in the world.. A good read and a lot of fun. The Shoes of Kilimanjaro & Other Oddventure Travel Stories
