Welcome to The Traveler

Welcome to the April issue of The Traveler- for those of you that have only seen the text version of the newsletter, we hope you enjoy this new format.

The Traveler spent ten days on the Big Island of Hawaii earlier this month, and we've just put the finishing touches on the travelogue and web photo album - make sure you check them out! For those thinking of taking a trip to Hawaii, we've also got some great deals and other information for a trip to Paradise, as well as points around the globe!

We'll keep it warm with our two feature articles. First-time contributor Karen Lenar takes us on a search of the famed warm, sandy beaches of Mexico. Then The Traveler himself has a bone to pick - albeit a lighthearted one.

Travel Writing Pick-Of-The-Month

Travel to the South Seas, with tales of history and adventure. A look at the exploration of Captain James Cook in the South Seas in the late nineteenth century, and the irreversible impact that contact had on the native people living, until then, an existence in natural abundance, isolated from the rest of civilization. An interesting travel story and a great history lesson. Alan Moorehead's The Fatal Impact.
