Happy Halloween from The Traveler!

In celebration of the holiday, this we've got some tricks and treats for you!

The Traveler is just back from a ten day exploration of New Mexico, and we've got the scoop! Our first treat will be a piece from The Traveler himself. He tells us that he was looking to see if he couldn't be abducted by aliens (Roswell, New Mexico being the "UFO capital of the world and all) - now wouldn't that have been a pretty neat trick! He tells us, however, that the aliens didn't find him, and aren't likely to be hanging around Roswell in any case... Find out why in our first feature article, "Little Green Men".

In a little more traditional and down-to-earth vein, we bring the treat of a Sante Fe winter with Frederick Turner's "Pleasures of a Sante Fe Winter", just in time for planning your holiday vacation!

We also have our usual treats: The Travel Writing Pick-Of-The-Month, Travel ideas and bargain, and what's new at TouristTravel.

The October winds may be whistling outside your door, bringing with it all sorts of spooks, ghosts, and goblins... But it's okay, just settle in and get cozy with this month's issue of The Traveler!
